This policy covers two groups of people: claimants who scan a billboard and complete an intake with ALEC, and firm users who access the dashboard. We keep it short because the principle is simple — your information goes to the firm you contacted, and nowhere else.
When you complete an intake, ALEC collects what you choose to provide: your name and contact information, your account of the incident, photos you take, details about the other party, and related facts. The scan itself logs the time, the general location, and the specific billboard placement — that’s how your case is attributed to the board that brought you in.
Your intake is delivered to one destination: the law firm whose billboard you scanned. We do not sell your information, shop your lead to multiple firms, or use your intake for advertising. Aggregated, de-identified performance data (scans, conversion rates by placement) is shared with the firm and its media partner to measure the boards themselves — never your identity or the contents of your intake.
Each firm’s data lives in its own scoped account on the Client Intake Solutions platform. Firm users see only their own firm’s intakes. Our staff access is limited to what’s required to operate and support the service.
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Intake records are retained for as long as the receiving firm’s account requires them, then deleted on a scheduled basis. You may request a copy of your intake, or its deletion, at any time (deletion requests are honored except where the receiving firm is legally required to preserve the record).
ALEC collects facts and evidence. He does not provide legal advice or opinions, and completing an intake does not create an attorney-client relationship with any firm. That relationship, if any, begins when the firm engages you directly.
